We also accept cash, cheques, Visa, Mastercard and debit so paying for your treatment is never an issue.
Many insurers will cover, or partially cover, massage therapy and acupuncture treatments. These include many private insurers as well as MSP, ICBC, DVA, RCMP and WCB. Since there are many factors that can affect medical or insurance coverage for massage therapy, please call us with any questions or concerns you may have. Listed below is a brief summary of the main insurers.
If your income is less than $28,000 per year, you qualify for government premium assistance. MSP will contribute a portion of the cost toward visits made to supplementary healthcare providers such as; massage therapists, chiropractors, physiotherapists, naturopaths and podiatrists. RMTs are primary contact providers, therefore you do not require a physician’s referral for MSP coverage. MSP allows for a total of 10 treatments per calendar year divided between these therapeutic modalities.
Most extended medical plans will cover 75-100% of the treatment fees up to an annual limit. You should check with your insurer to confirm details and to determine if you require a doctor’s referral. You will pay us directly, then submit your receipt to your insurer for a reimbursement. We offer direct billing to most major insurance companies.
ICBC and WCB patients will be required to pay for their treatments at the time of the appointment. They may then submit the receipts to ICBC/adjustor/lawyer or WCB case worker to be reimbursed.
